About Me

Born and raised in Devon, I’ve always loved weddings and everything about them.

Like many people, I’d sat through my fair share of long, traditional ceremonies until I attended my first celebrant-led wedding.

 

I loved everything about it. It was personal, warm and completely focused on the couple, their love, their story and their future together.

​

That was when I realised just how special a ceremony could be.

​

A few years later, friends asked me to conduct their wedding. I initially laughed, until I realised they were completely serious! That experience sparked something in me, and I discovered how much I loved telling people’s stories.

​

Since then, whether I’m writing a love story or celebrating someone’s life, storytelling has been at the heart of what I do. Warmth and humour are a big part of who I am, even during the most difficult moments.

​

That became especially important when I had the privilege of delivering my dad’s funeral ceremony. Being able to tell his story, capture his personality and keep his spirit present throughout the ceremony meant an enormous amount to me.

​

It was after saying goodbye to Dad that I knew I wanted to take celebrancy further and help other people celebrate love, life and everything in between.
