A celebrant creates and delivers a ceremony that is personal to you. I take time to listen to your story, understand what matters to you and create something filled with warmth, personality and meaning.

One of the joys of a celebrant ceremony is the flexibility it offers. Depending on the type of ceremony and any permissions required, we can celebrate in a garden, woodland, hotel, wedding venue, family home or somewhere that holds special meaning to you.

I’m based in Mid Devon and happy to travel. If your ceremony is further afield, just get in touch and we can have a chat about location and any additional travel costs.

As soon as you know your date, it’s worth getting in touch, particularly for popular wedding dates. (Funerals naturally work to much shorter timescales, and I will always do my best to accommodate you.)

We’ll start with a relaxed conversation to talk about what you have in mind. If you decide I’m the right celebrant for you, we’ll arrange time to get to know each other properly and begin creating your ceremony.

Absolutely. Your ceremony can include the people who are important to you, whether they would like to give a reading, share some words, participate in a ritual or simply be part of a special moment.

A celebrant ceremony itself is not the legal part of your marriage in England and Wales. You will need to complete the legal marriage requirements separately, leaving your celebrant ceremony free to be much more personal and individual.Though keep an eye out on a potential law change (Consultation closed end of Sept - results in Oct!)

Absolutely! You can write your own vows, adapt traditional ones or I can help you find the words to express exactly what you want to say to each other.

Yes. Handfasting, unity candles, ring warming and other symbolic rituals can add something really special to your ceremony. We can also create something completely unique to you.

There is no fixed length for a celebrant ceremony. We’ll create something that feels right for you rather than trying to fit your story into a set format.

Definitely. Your ceremony doesn’t have to be serious from beginning to end. If laughter is part of your relationship, it should be part of your ceremony too. I love weaving humour and those little “that is SO them” moments into your story.

There are all sorts of reasons. You might be celebrating a milestone anniversary, coming through a challenging time together, marking a new chapter or simply wanting an excuse to gather everyone you love and say “I still do.”

No. A vow renewal doesn't change the legal status of your marriage. It's a personal celebration of your love, your commitment and the journey you've shared.

Absolutely. You can repeat your original vows, update them to reflect your life together now or write something completely new.
